Sea otter eating rock crab

This was the first time I'd ever seen a sea otter in the wild -- and he was eating a rock crab! He was floating literally 20 feet away from where I was standing on the jetty. I got to see him dive, come up with a crab, and eat the crab.

2014.10.08 Eclipse

Total eclipse from my front yard, at about 3 or 4 in the morning

I went to bed early the night before just so I could wake up at 3 am, watch the eclipse, go back to bed, and then wake up again at 6 to go to school. Totally worth it.

2015.08.13 Star Trails

My first attempt at picturing star trails, I think it turned out pretty good. I took pictures from a tripod at 30-second intervals, then used Photoshop to put them all together. All the stars revolve around Polaris, which is blocked by the tree.

As of September 2015, this blog is still in the process of being revamped. Hopefully it will be up again soon.
